I got trained fly fishing on the Deschutes River early 70s . Thought I had to learn all casting b.s. my buddy taught me just to flip off bank past clumps of grass. Amazing fishing. Purists suck! I troll flys whenever I can. Last week on Agency lake we were catching so many all the fly casters in drift boats started rolling around behind us to match our speed.
