New to the forum!I have been trying to troll for salmon on the umpqua for a number of years. Have purchased books, read a lot and asked friends that are successful. It just seems to me that I'm not very successful. I've paying attention to currents, temps, colors etc. I know that salmon fishing is not easy to be successful all of the time but it would be nice to be a bit more predictable with my techniques. Thanks for listening!
Salmon Fishing on Oregon Coast was once very good. 1980's and 1990's was what I remember being good. So many hatcheries have quit operating. The fish we produce here end up being captured by all sorts of other countries as well. Keep doing it. They should be there now through October.
