What if you wake up in January 2021 and read this headline in your local paper? What would you do? Have you made any plans to ensure your weapons would not be taken by governmental edict?

I do not know what your political position is, but from all I see in the newspapers, television the Democratic party is strongly in favor of elimination of the Second Amendment and in the collection, or confiscation of either most or all guns owned by private individuals.

So, Heaven forbid, this tragedy comes to pass what are you going to do? Personally, I am going to make plans to hide my weapons and to be ready for the coming armed r*******n. There is a good chance I will not live to see it happen, but I am planning on my weapons never being willingly surrendered to an illegal act by a despotic government. All farmers and ranchers will have a better chance of sequestering their weapons, but everyone in cities and towns should begin to make plans now for the eventuality of a democratic socialist administration and their stated plans.

If you do not think this is a real possibility, you have not been paying attention to what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris both have been saying in their campaign speeches.

If you have not given any thought to what you would possibly do in the event of this outcome, here are some of my thoughts.

I would go and bury all my rifles and handguns, except perhaps one handgun. Now just how and where would I go about doing this? I have thought these weapons would probably be needed within the next 4 or 5 years, but just to be safe, I would prepare for them to be safely stored away for 100 years. To do this, they would have to be completely coated in a durable grease that would provide protection for that long. Further, they would have to be hidden in a location that would remain safe and secure and to be able to be found again by my descendants who are willing to fight.

As an example, during the War Between the States, the last battle was fought in Texas. The Union had repeatedly tried to stop the flow of critical material and supplies coming into the South. The U.S. Navy had succeeded in blockading all ports except the supply line coming in from Mexico at Brownsville. The port of Bagdad was the only access the South still had they could rely upon for all these supplies. Finally, the U.S. Navy landed troops near South Padre Island with the intention to cut off this last source. Just before the last battle, the Union commander had a cache of rifles buried in the sand dunes because he deemed them to be extra and not needed for their immediate use.

Well, the Confederates and Texas Rangers routed the Union forces and they retreated to the protection of the Union ships cannons. Then, word of the Lee’s surrender finally arrived, and all the Confederate forces lay down their arms in surrender. But the cache of Springfield weapons was lost for a little over 100 years. When they were finally discovered, they were in perfect working order after the grease was removed.

So, where would I consider burying my weapons, that would remain undisturbed for 100 years?

Well, the first place would be one of several country cemeteries where some of my ancestors are buried. And perhaps so that it would not be so obvious, not at the exact gravesite of a relative, but in the general area. Now that our cell phones are quick to offer a precise G.P.S. location, this would be helpful in handling that spot where they could be found inside the cemetery. All my relatives are buried in North Texas in country (isolated) locations.

To protect these weapons, I would secure some PVC pipe that would also have watertight caps on either end. Perhaps if available at the time, in 12-inch diameter so it would accommodate both rifles and handguns together as well as ammunition for them. All the details would be in a private letter that I would entrust to one of my children or grandchildren and to get their sworn commitment to pass it on down to others until the time of their use.

I pray and desperately hope none of this is necessary but am at this point scared of the intent of both Biden and Harris. Just Sayin…RJS

The problem is the people making up this bogus scare tactic are not the people getting blamed for it. It was supposed to happen so many times already in my adult life. Its bogus information. Believing them is what anyone does wrong. All my guns have never been confiscated and nor will they be. Some dorks I know told me they need same or bigger guns than their government has. I said REALLY? I said Nuclear are nothing a dipweed needs in his garage. They got pissed and argued they should have bigger nukes than their (US) Government. I grew up with parents that both worked for US Govt. Every Citizen ( NONE) need bigger guns and ammo than our Military. The people that teach this mentality are not right in the head.

I agree with Jeremy. This red herring has been around since Clinton's days. Every e******n we hear the same stuff. I guess scare tactics do work to influence some people. I am certainly not going to bury my guns. Hell, I would forget where they are.

Gentlemen: I have been v****g for president ever since Dwight D. Eisenhower, and have never in all the dfiferent e******ns seen any candidate or party hammer their opposition to the Second Amendment and their intention to remove it.

I am hoping and praying you are right, but crazy people seem to wind up in leadership positions. if this, or any other political party in the future chooses to disarm the U.S. Citizens, there will be an armed revolution! I wont to have my arms handy! Just Sayin...RJS

I hear that they don't want criminals having them but that is far from what I constantly hear the other group claim. I am not scared or fooled.
