Looking to spend some money on a nice spinning rod/reel for Bass/Catfish/Trout all freshwater. Would appreciate some recommendations.

I would definitely buy a St. Croix rod since you have a big (ger) budget than most, then maybe pick up a Penn Battle or Fierce. The sizes of both the rod and reel depend on whether you want ultralight gear or just regular gear.

a Pflueger president series 30 is a great all around reel, cost about 60.00 but performs as good as most expensive reels. that will leave you plenty to purchase a very good rod, which is what you fish with anyway. as far as rods go price does make a difference. with your description I would purchase a medium weight with a fast tip.
