Anyone doing any good for salmon on Sac in Sacramento area, not Redding?
There are a couple of good places for information - fishsniffer.om has pretty good up to date reports, and I always go into the sportsman's warehouse in Rocklin, they have a big board on the wall as you're walking in that is updated quite often, with all the "local" fishing spots on it. Sac Bee used to have the "fishing line" that they published weekly, but for some reason they did away with it, at least in the on-line version they did, haven't seen that in a few years. If you get the paper, check it - I think it came in the Wednesday paper. I used to fish for salmon on the Feather, but it's been a couple of years, so I'm kinda out of touch. Good luck.
Fishonoff: You can't catch em if your line isn't in the water. Even if you are reasonably sure it's a poor time to go, how do you know the fish feel the same way? When they get hungry, they eat, or at least look for a meal, so why not give them that opportunity if you have the time? Just Sayin...RJS
Thanks for that. It was 110 degrees today, 109 tomorrow and Monday, 114 on Tuesday, etc... I was just wondering if anyone was having any luck on this hot weather.

Thanks Spirit, you sure are a wealth of information!
the upper Sacramento has been spotty for salmon the past week or so with few reports of success.
Thanks bob - I din't know that. Good info! But don't let my wife know, I won't have an excuse to go in any more.

Usually wrong, seldom in doubt. Yup.

still slow in the Chco area, should perk up sometime this week
As someone stated, as long as the salmon bite is strong in the bay, the fish have not started up the rivers. When that slows down then rivers will pick up.
The guides are not even close to getting limits as of Friday
