My buddy and I caught these between 11:30 and 3:00 on a sunny 86 degree day. It was a warm one!

Having never caught a walleye or a crappie, I’m guessing, but the long ones are walleye and the shorter ones are crappie.

Thanks Huntm, you too. I’m debating on whether I want to fight the crowds and head up to Jordanelle this evening.

Probably a zoo up there. I’m trying to decide what day to go there to catch some Kokanees. Supposed to be 100 degrees plus record setting heat all week. Kokanee season ends in less than a month - Sept 10.

The zoo thing is why I’m debating with myself about it. The days are quickly getting shorter and my window for going up after work is closing. It’s just been so crowded up there this year. It would be nice to get a few Kokanee before they shut it down. How it’s the middle of August already, I don’t know. I hope you get up there and get some.

Thx -will see what works out. Last time I went out there were wave makers in line to unload at 6 am - crazy! But when it is 70 or warmer that is the way it gets.

It’s too bad it’s going to be so hot this coming week, for many reasons, but I was up there Wednesday evening in my pontoon. I noticed the water felt much cooler than last time I was there. I didn’t bring my fish finder, so I’m not sure exactly what the water temp was, but I assume if the water gets cold, the toys will go away.
