I have only been to Idaho and Cour D 'Arlene once. Had friends from Houston retired and move up there. They built a house on/near the top of a mountain and drilled a well and taped into a hot spring which provided all the heat their home required. Neat setup. Saw a lot of elk, which don't exist here. Surprisingly the climate is real close to here in N Utah. About the same number of days below ‘0’ and the same number of days above ‘100’. Altitude is similar 4200 - 4500’ above sea level. About the same amount of snow fall. Only thing is Couer D’Alene gets more rain - about 50% more so humidity is a little higher than Utahs 18-20% in the summer.
