fishing off of Newport Beach has been great with both fly and bait fishing . Early morning till about 10 am has been the best. Water temp is up, and many different spices are showing up at this time . Caught my first stripper in the Harbor last week. Scotty

Good post Scotty. Welcome aboard. If you get any pictures please post them. Hope you dont mind teasing. A lot of people call Stripers a Stripper and these guys will let you know about. All in fun of course. Tight lines
I told that stripper get away from my fly, I'm a married man. Welcome to the stage scotty. Please please post a picture of one of those strippers. Seriously, I didn't know they could be found that far south. Stripers that is. I lived down in that direction, San Diego, for about 25 years and fished a lot of salt, but I never even heard of anybody catching a striper. Maybe you really did mean strippers? Plenty of those down there.
What you talkin bout Gordon?
All, thanks for the correction, good lesson for this old salt, not to text without his glasses on. I haven't caught a stripper since Saigon in 1970. Tight lines
I too would love to see both a pictures of the Stripper and Striper. I Fish Newport Harbor and Surf.... never seen a Striped Bass.
1970 Saigon Army or Marine ? :)
