What are these little guys. What kinda fish will eat them. What are some good ways to fish them. Should I add some sent to them. What kinda hook do you use with them. Unscramble this to catch some catfish and loose some hide. DIGLONON.
That's what I would call a crappie jig. One of the few fresjwater lures I have in my kiy. The ones I have came with about a size 6. I don't think I would ever try noodling.

Tube jig for what we call sacalait or crappie. Noodling. No way. I’ve seen the size of snapping turtles we have here.

Tubejig
Scented with garlic works great.
And with crappie nibbles I like to use the chartreuse nibbles.
Sadly, there have been some deaths from noodling. The victim was unable to stand back up above the water line due to the grip of the huge catfish. Couldn't pull his arm free and drowned.

Ya it is dangerous I'll stick with a fishing pole
Had a buddy back in the mid 70's that loved to noodle. Had several clean head carcasses, 12+" wide, nailed to his garage. Shaved his arms so he could wrap them with duct tape !
I was present when he found "that biggie I been lookin' for", .....forget the exact weight... about 85lbs.... just remember my other buddy and I having to set our beers down, wade into the mud and pull that idiot Tom out, along with the cat, since the stubborn bastard (Tom or the cat ?...ehhh... either fits the description !)would not give up and Tom was about to drown.
'bout the same intelligence as another buddy, back in high school, who informs me ..."gonna go try to ride that big old Santa Gertrudis bull of your Uncle Fred's, wanna come ?"
Absolutely not, thanks.

I handed out a lot of bull but never road one. Would not even ride the electronic one at the bars.
