A deep diving lure was what made Bomber Bait Company a success in the 1940's and 50's after the war. They hand built a 600 black Bomber, about 6 inches long, with 3 trebble hooks that was in one color, Black and ran backwards like a cradfish. It would dive deeper even at the end of a long cast and was nothing seen before by black Bass and thus was a limit catching lure that was widely sought after lure. That an the opening of the TVA system of lakes in the South were made Bomber! Just Sayin...RJS

I have about a dozen "Bomber Crank-Baits left in one of my many crank-bait boxes. I bet that I haven't used any of them in 10 years. My good fishing partners use to own a bait and tackle shop for many years. When he was going out of business because he was go to relocate. With his family to another state because of a new job Don must of given me four dozen Bomber Crank-Baits. I thought that I had died and went to "Heaven" when Don gave them to me, I tried to pay him for them but he wouldn't take any money for the. Don and I fished Kentucky Lake a half a dozen time when Don and his family would come back to visit family. I would always make sure that I had the boat full of the Bomber Crank-Baits in the Cray fish color because the Largemouth Bass would really bite great on them most of the tine in the Spring after the spawn.
