Welcome to the Forum, Bee. It took me a while to figure out what a fuy was, then it hit me, a typo.

Greetings, and welcome, BeeMyers: I was fortunate to have a biz meeting once in your fair city. During my stay got to go fly fishing somewhere nearby and actually experience fly fishing and caught a trout or two, and have pictures to show it, but that has been a long time ago.

I have to relate that we were staying at the your famous, humongus hotel that I cannot remember the name. But at one meal, they had a large layout of food that all looked great, except there was a coffee urn that had a label "chili" on it.

I looked in and could not recognize the contents. A waiter was near by and I asked him, "What is this?" he walked over and said with a little disdain, "it is chili", to which I then asked, "Well, how do you eat it?" he said well, pointing to a pile of aluminum wrapped potatoes. You cut one of these potatoes and pour the chili into the potatoe"!

Now I must explain, I am an native Texan, and this state invented Chili! I have never seen such a concoction that looked all the world between catsup and tomato soup as what was in that coffee urn! I guess their chef was from Europe, or some other foreign country, because he did not know Chile from shoe polish! Just Sayin...RJS

The hotel was probably The Broadmoor Hotel . Quite pricey. If you were about an hour's drive from CS to fish you were probably fishing at Decker's N on hwy 67. The other local would be the S. Platte River either above Eleven mile reservoir "The dream stream" or below the reservoir in the canyon.
Am I close?
