Went out Saturday AM, the bite was really slow. Delta Cross Channel. Caught 4 managed this 17" as the biggest. Caught and released.

Better to be out and catching some than to be in the house too hot for me.
Thanks for the pics, maybe on day we could go in my boat and you could teach me that end of the delta and I can show you the largemouths and smallies.

Yes, lucky shirt! Same spot I always fish. At this spot I catch Striper, LM, catfish, and bluegill. Potentially Salmon too, if you get lucky and piss one off but I have not. I love the clean water of the Mokulumne.

Sounds good to me. I could use some brushing up on LM and smallies. Yes it was hot yesterday. Had to call it quits at 4.
Next time I need to pack water and not only beer. I got super dehydrated but I can't stay home. Shoot me a DM if you ever want to get on some Stripers. Thing is I don't know of all the boat launches,being landlocked, but I know of a few.
Can't wait for the fall run.

My future son-in-law grew up on all the rivers and some of the places I swear he could run with his eyes closed,LOL
I have to stay in the deeper water not up river with my bass boat but we will have to work something out.
I know around Whimpies(sp) I have had great fall fishing also from Vieira's way up to past the canal and both sloughs. So I will PM you when it gets cooler

Thanks! It's really ALL I know how to fish and I'm still learning. I grew up in So Cal and I didn't fish much if at all. A few deep sea trips mainly. Not much in the lakes or rivers.
I'm making up for lost time though and spending as much time fishing with what time I have left.
