Yes...sat in the same spot over an hour
then decided to net some bait..
only fish I caught... long story but we are
hardheaded about using anything but
artificials.. may be changing.. this fish ate a
huge finger mullet

I’m the same way but I do bring backup with me. Sometimes live shrimp, pogies, cocahoe minnows or finger mullet. Whichever we can net or buy. If we can’t find the trout we find redfish and they love the same bait.

start on cape lookout nc... . we keep 2 trucks over there. ..one a step-van sleeps six...

yeah my bud took a guided trip out of Venice? said they used live shrimp but he thought
they would bite mirrolures if there wasn't any live shrimp

bluefish this morning. no trout. all top water chug bugs. i think the blues run the trout out of back yard. but water temp should start to drop and it will be back on in sept.
