The first 50 years: one spincast setup. That’s all folks. No problem.

Five years later: rack full of spincast and bait cast. Maybe a little more distraction in the gray matter.

Is there life hack for keeping track of line type and weight loaded on reel?

I am not into turning my hobby into a spreadsheet, but it would be great when reliving a world record catch for the media to know that it was caught on 4lb mono from Walmart. Just saying maybe.

Spools of line used to come with stickers listing the pound test. I used to put them under the reel seat. No reason you couldn't go to Staples, get some stickers and a Sharpie, and do the same. Just Sayin. Now about this World Record Catch.........

We just had a new State of Missouri record long eared sunfish caught a county away. 4 ounces. Stouts Creek feeds my Lake Kilarney. 77 square mile water shed from down the tallest point MO, 1772 feet. Very clear water with the target species. They call it Tom Saulk Mountain. First fish I ever caught was trout in Colorado. I can’t keep from laughing at a 1772 foot mountain. The world record is under 2lbs. I’m going for it. Bucket list challenge is on.

That Long Eared Sunfish was the first one I caught. Hadn’t seen one before. Also the first fish caught with that boat. Didn’t have a gaff on the boat yet. I will for the next one. Thanks for asking.

I remember those stickers back when I didn’t need them. Now I do. I accidentally bought mono instead of fluorocarbon. Thanks

No it is not bad especially in your lure trays and terminal tackle. Remember the soft elastic baits from
Z-Man must be stored separately from other plastics...a tray or bag by itself.
