Fishing Information For New Fisherwomen and Fisherman.

Try fishing the creeks and washes that feed into the lake. The feeding locations are points and cuts and are considered as hot fishing spots. Spend the majority of you fishing time in these areas. Use Drop-shot, Split- Shot, Carolina Rigs, Small Jigs, and other slow presentations for your bottom fishing.

Sectionalize these areas into "THREE SECTIONS", ie. Upper 1/3, Middle 1/3, and Lower 1/3. This is how to break down your fishing areas. The fish will relate to the Water Temperatures, Structures and Cover differently in each of these areas depending how large the areas are. Pick the "Biggest Creek, Wash, Bay, Cove" or what ever they may call it in that body of water and stick with it.

Try and learn one area and fish it year round so you can pattern it and move to some other locations that are similar. Like most fisherman say "TIME ON THE WATER", there isn't no substitution for this. Three to four days on the water per week really helps to pattern the fish.

Like the "IKE "O" Nelli says "NEVER GIVE UP". PM me if you have any questions. Keep you line tight and your hooks sharp... Great fishing to all of you fisherman.

Absorb as much as you can and apply it on the water when you're out there. However, it is best to practice with "One Technique At A Time" and learn as much as you can with that technique before jumping on to the next one. This way it will give you a good idea on what works, what not and you can fine tune it from there. Once you master that technique, you can move to the next one etc, etc, etc.

The Texas Rig is the most productive technique in catching LMB across the nation. And it is the most widely use technique as well. Most lakes are great for "Texas Rigged" application since it's rocky bottom and has been my number #1 choice since I started bass fishing. Try this one out for starter and go from there.

Here's a motto I always tried to stay with: "If At First You Don't Succeed, Try And Try Again". In short don't give up. You will succeed sooner or later.

Here's another motto from Master Pak Kim: "Practice Don't Make Perfect. Perfect Practice Make Perfect". Practice with the right technique one will succeed. This also apply to bass fishing.

By talking to a few of the members on this board and also booking a trip with a guide will helped you a lot. The fishing guides are an excellent group of guys and their guides are top-notch. I promise you'll learn something if you book a trip and you'll have some fun at the same time.

I have been bass fishing a lot and a large part of my learning has been observing and talking to the fisherman. Time on the water and understanding the behaviors of the fish in our lakes will help a lot. You might also look at attending one of the seminars held at Bass Pro Shops sometimes it can't hurt and you're only going to learn.

Join a Bass Club and fish from the back seat for a year. At the end of a year you will have learned a ton. But most of all you must have confidence and as you fish picture in your mind that a bass is right next to your bait and ready to grab it you just have to tease him into biting. If your having problems fishing a worm or jig try closing your eyes this automatically increases you since of feel.
