Clear lake sight fishing tips

Was fishing a very clear lake yesterday, the water was glass smooth all day and I could see mini schools of massive bass around every weed bed. (There is a large population of big bass in this lake) i threw every bait i had at them, frogs, neds, shaky heads worms, silent jerk bait, lizards, jigs, swim bait, cranks. Tons of follows but nothing hit. Normally there is to much chop to sight fish and normally i catch at least 1 to 2 bass per hour on this lake in 3 hours i had no fish. Whats your go to bait for sight fishing finicky fish?

Dropshot with a small paddletail or shad colored worm. That way it can soak in front of the fish and mimic a dying baitfish.

Ive actually never rigged a drop shot. Never took the time to learn how to tie it up properly xD maybe now ill try that thanks

No problem! It's actually really easy, just a standard palomar knot with an extra long tag end. Be sure to use translucent colors rather than solid for your baits, for some reason that seems to help trick the bass into think it's an actual bait fish when the water is super clear.
