Nice fish Saw, sometimes it pays to try something out of the ordinary, or somewhere different. Glad you didn't come home with Spirit's pet critter. Good day!

Nice catch Saw! And I think Spirits critter may have found its way to Florida! If things don't change I may hang my new rod with new braid on the wall under the eaves and do a little R&R myself.

I needed to take a little break from all the fishin.
I usually don't get up that early everyday. But when I'm fishin it's usually up by 0500 or earlier.
After a while it starts to catch up with me.
When I sleep in now it's still 0730 or 0800 when I get up. I usually don't get to sleep much before midnight even if I go to bed at 1000 at night. Or I'll go to sleep and wake up at midnight and then can't get back to sleep. OH well, such is life.

Nice catches! Did you go upstream on the NAPA or downstream towards the Bay! In wondering which is the best way to go in a kayak.

Hey ED. Tuesday we went down river from the launch. We ended up trollin from the RR bridge UP river back towards the launch on the right side goin back up. That's where we caught them Tues. Didn't get any anywhere else. Caught all of them on 1oz. rattle trap trolled at 5 mph. at 180 feet back on incoming tide.
Hope that helps. When you goin? Let me know how you do.

Thanks for the info, saw1.

I hope to be going soon. I'll be trolling from my kayak, but not 5mph! LOL! Maybe I will have some luck going a slower speed to get the lure deeper, since it is warmer? I will let you know!

That sounds good NF. Could you be able to fish out of the boat. All you gotta do is get out of the truck and walk out on the dock and get in the boat. Just wonderin?

Your funny doesn’t sound like to much trouble. You’d have to teach me all over again and i think my gear isn’t probably good no more. Sounds fun you might be the push i need
