We went a few weeks ago hoping for big bluegills but no one was catching anything that day. We tried fishing off the dock by the dam. The water was very deep there. Where do you think we might hook some bluegills? We are going back next week.

This time of year we find the gills on rocky banks with shade. We fish different ones until we find bigger ones and then anchor up. It seems to attract more we generally use mealworm on 4 lb line and a small split shot about two feet above the hook. You want it to sink really slow. Just use enough shot to be able to cast.
