Went night fishing last night. Fished 6-10pm near the
Broderick boat ramp and caught 4 striper. None big enough to keep. But the lowlight of the night was a transient guy jumping in the river downstream and taking a dump in the river. Almost glad I didn't catch a keeper.

I guess it’s better than the sidewalk. I suspect you had a good time with that one exception.

Excellent fish. For a long time, Lake Texoma was full of sand bass, or white bass. The Texas Game and Fish, along with the Oklahoma Game and Fish decided to introduce Stripers. Little did they know these would interbrede. So now there's the regular sand bass that may get up to 3 lbs, so so. Then there's a combo fish, that in a mixture of sand bass and striper. and finally stripers. It has created a new life in the lake.

As for as the vagrant contaminating the water, here's another place for a weapon. I would have seriously considered firing a warning shot, not at the rascal, but just to let him know that was an unaccpetable act. Go get in the woods! Just Sayin...RJS

I just learned I can bring bring my Glock 17 when I go fishing and have it holstered. You just can't have it loaded so clip in my back pocket next time.

I don't think I would have fired a shot, but man I was not looking for brown trout last night.

Yes indeed. Great time regardless. Always happy to fish. I'm super addicted. I think I'm heading back over to the Mokulumne or the American, no more Sac River for now. Less distractions for sure.

Good luck. Send pictures unless they’re of brown trout. 😁😁😁

A very popular place for people to play in the water around Sacramento is Discovery park, where the Sacramento and American rivers join. All up and down the river, there are homeless camps, and you KNOW where they do their business! I'm not gettin' in the water!
When I was a kid, you could get in trouble in most towns for "No visible means of support".
How the world has changed!

No visible means of support? Is that a check or money in bank from a job, scam or other form of income or a seat with legs when you take a dump? Just Curious...

Yes, I was fishing kind of near there. From where I stood I could see the junction to the American.

Oh and yes, the times have changed for sure. There are so many left behind as cities become more and more expensive to live in. It does tear at the heart strings a little.

I had to Google "Soylent Green", I had no idea what that was. That's a tough one. Can I sleep on it?

Read the book “Make Room” in the late 60’s, saw the movie “Soylent Green” in the mid 70’s.
I didn’t see how the movie was based on the book, too different stories.
