Hi, my name is Bill and I have a cattle ranch near Kiowa and we are developing a fish hatchery we love fish so much, but to the point, my wonderful granddaughter wants me to help her catch fish at Bingham Lake and I don't know anything about what to use, how to use it, where to use it and when to use it. My first and only trip so far was midmorning when it was quite hot and there were a lot of big carp jumping and rolling and we didn't try to catch them but she tried all the common lures I have like Rapala, Mepps, Rooster Tail, live worms and grasshoppers with no luck at all except a 3 inch perch which we should have used for bait but released it unharmed back into the water to grow bigger. We were on the SW corner of the dam and it was pretty shallow so I probably need to find some deeper water and rig her up with bait on a drop sinker or working a weighted plastic bait off the bottom. If anybody can help me cut to the chase and share some inside information with her, I will help her use it and see if we can catch her some fish.
