I fished Shasta lake many years ago on a Saturday during a W O N bass tournament I got to my spot in the dark and started working the rockey bank and at my good spot I got a 4.5 lb spot and in two more casts I got a 6 lb spot now I had 10.5 well I got many more but the big ones were 3 at 3.5. So now I had 20.5 with 5 bass best day ever the wining weight that day was 19.5 it was mid febuary. A turnamint boat shows up and were posted off and I had them weigh my catch and they said they would like to have my big ones I said I would like 300 bucks and I laughed. And they said no no. They did not mean it that way well was back home at 8 am and went to phills prop. That afternoon and they said we know all about your day I said how the bass boat guys you seen came in and were bitchin about your catch . we were using the same spiner bait but I fished slow and deep and they fished fast and shallow well tite line's guys

What can I say brother. It just pays to know your lake and where the fish are and what they want and how they like it. Too bad you weren't in the tourney.

If you re-figure your weights, you actually have 21 lbs. Just sayin’...
