Yeah we’re not into this boat all that much. We got some mini clamp on downriggers and have had fun with it. My next door neighbor used to fish a lot. He said he’s never been in a small boat like that that didn’t leak and need to be bailed. It was kind of comical hearing the rivets pop and then seeing the little fountain coming up. Kind of like a Bugs Bunny cartoon from when we were kids. We were able to stuff a piece of wood whittled down to fit the hole and slow the flood.
I was thinking of the Aflac duck commercial.
Tough fishing when you got to pull out the pocket knife and whittle a tree branch just to catch fish. LOL
My feet are in the water to get in and my heels are pretty much in all the time. When it gets cold I’ll put waders on. I bought some wet wading socks that I lust wear with wading boots. I’ve been wearing quick drying pants and been fine so far. Come fall I’ll just assume I need to take the waders with me always. The battery will sit up in the basket in the back and be dry. I’m kind of enjoying the exercise paddling. It would be nice to troll some of these lakes though.
I have a pontoon like that. Mine is an Outcast Fishcat. 10 ft long with a trolling motor. Our water isn't cold enough to bother me. I use a regular fish basket but added a foam floatie around the top to keep it floating & within reach. Works great. I have my battery behind me & a small ice chest. I built up an old dilly boat trailer & can take it out ready to launch. I also put a small Lowrance color fish locator on the front rails. It helps. Rod holders are important as I like to carry 2 rods with me. The more you use it the better you'll like it & you'll think of ways to make it better. Good luck & tight lines.

Thanks BC, I've actually only taken it out a couple of times fishing. I figure as you said, I'll decide what's best as I use it more. I got a holder for my Garmin Striker 4 fishfinder that works pretty well. It came with the holder for the fishfinder, and transducer and has a battery in it.
You are welcome. I feel very blessed to have such beauty an hour or two away in almost any direction. The pictures from Saturday are at a spot about forty five minutes from my driveway.
