Here in Hawaii there are Ole days. A period lasting several days wen fishing isn't really very good. Comes every month. Check out an ancient Hawaiian moon calander.

Whereabouts in Hawaii are you? My daughter lives in Maui as well as my grandkids and there dad who loves to surf. I also have a great grandson there as well.

Isn't Lahaina where the airport is at on Maui? I haven't been over to Hawaii for some time. I spent about five months over there after my wife passed away in 2009. My health has degraded since then and I don't travel anymore. Anyway enjoy Hawaii it is a beautiful place to live. I just looked up Hawaii and Maui and I now see that Kahului i s where the airport is and you are on the other side of the island. We have been to that side of the island when we watched the humpback whales and their calves the year after my wife passed away. We were out quite aways in a kayak and all I could think about was the sharks thankfully I never saw any.

I feel like that’s every day I go fishing here lately. It’s any day ending in “y”, or assigned a number.

My condolences. I've been here near 50 yrs. And stay mostly mala opelu moi opakapaka I've even see a pretty big hamerhead out there one time
