North West Pa. Went fishing today. In the water along the shore was a dead tree with what looked like frog eggs the whole tree was cover with them. I thought frogs only laid eggs in the early spring. Or is this some type of fish egg?

Wood frog or salamander eggs would be my best guess. No picture?

What you seen was probably Bryozoa kinda a oblong ball of jell looking stuff with dark dots throughout it. It is commonly mistaken for frog or fish eggs.
