Yep rod holder I don't know if it screws into the ground can't sit from the picture so not sure how safe Your Rod would actually be in it

Yeah Mike that's a striking type rodholder. The weight of the rod,and tension of the line hold it in place. When lift the front end it disengages instantly. I've seen bank models but mostly clamp on boat models. DIAWA

It is a rod holder, they work great and are very safe, I have 2 of them on my NRS cateraft for fishing the Lehigh River. Tight lines

It is a rod holder, but can’t tell if it screws into the ground, or if it can be bolted to a railing. I’ll try DAIWA for a different spelling.
