I am new to the forum, I am from Norther New Jersey and fish mostly rivers and lakes. Happy with any fish that is on my line. I have a 14' deep V with a 9.9 hp and fish a lot of the reservoirs. I enjoy reading about fishing and have learned a lot from forums. I look forward to being a member here.

You're lucky. When I lived up there you weren't allowed in the reservoirs. Welcome.

Thanks, I fish the Newark Watershed with a permit I get four reservoirs electric motor only. Then there is Round Valley and Spruce Run where you can have a maximum of 9.9 hp. This keeps me busy and then there are the rivers to fish without the boat.

I believe it is, but you might have to check the algie problem in some lakes.

Welcome Harry to the knuckleheads club. These clowns know fishing. Good info, funny stuff and people who care and share. The only site I'm on.

I watched them build most of those reservoirs over the years. I moved to south Jersey from Morris county in 1974. I don't even go back up there anymore. Makes me a little sick what they did to some beautiful country.

I drove by the Wanaque Res. hundreds of times in the '50's-'60's on the way to Upper Greenwood Lake. It was totally closed then. I recall seeing a rowboat with fishermen on a couple occasions. I was told that politicians had access . I think thats where my dislike for them began.
