Put in 2 hours today. Fishing in the Hanford Reach on the Columbia. The biggest is 28", pretty good day! 4 rods out, slow death hook and a bottom walker.

Great catching! One of my favorite fish to eat. Our limit is 6 with only one over 24”

On the Columbia and Snake there are no limits on size or number of walleye. The Feds and State DFW want them out because they arfe an invasive specie and they prey on salmon and steelhead.

I lived in CoeurD’Alene for a number of years but was always too busy to go fishing much - did some of the lakes and caught some dandy fish. Wish I could have slowed down and done more fishing.

Nice catch rtk, looks like a very efficient 2 hours. Thanks for sharing.
Were they intentionally introduced by DFW or was that some citizen's bright idea? Do you know the story of Lake Davis in California? You can google it. Good job and thanks for sharing the photos. Enjoy your dinner.

The coho run appears to be very weak this year so far. Maybe time to investigate the walleye fishery.
I will go up and fish bouy 10 next month and am hopeful for a good chinook run.
Those walleye look great!

Good job on the walleye and thanks for the pics. Sounds like similar tactics on the Missouri River reservoirs in Montana.

You did very well, rtk. All good sized eaters, except that 28"er., he is going to be fishy, but she is a beautiful fish. Thanks for sharing.

Hey spirit I fished Davis many years ago. Did they get walleye in there then get rid of them? Has the trout fishery come back?
I would like to know approx where on the Columbia you were fishing? I know that walleye are everywhere in the river, and down at Umatilla is quite popular. But since I live in West Richland, it would be nice to know where you caught them if not a secret. Was it above the fish hatchery? Was it above the area where the power lines cross the Columbia?
