I just use a clinch knot. Has worked well for me.

Palomar is going to be the strongest, for the most part.

it is not best to use rig clips. They won't fit through your guides so by default your leader will be <1 ft in most cases. The clip/snap will also snag all the vegetation in its path and interfere with lure action. double uni is easy to learn and quick to tie. Go with that until you get more exp.

I’m not using the rig clip to attach leader. I’m using it at the end of my leader to attach my lures. It’s a pain and I’ll probably end up just tying my line directly to my lures

Oh in that case it's not the absolute worst thing to do for heavier lures. Hardbody lures over 1 oz tend not to suffer at all from having a small snap. I just use uni for that.

when im a lil short on supplies i'll cut the swivel off a snap-swivel and use the snap tied to my line so i can use different lures without tying every change up...and its worked for me, so......
