Looks like you have a lower hull section that would give you more turbulence at faster speeds. I always had mine with clear water in front of the transducer.

Yup, move it further out to the green part of the bottom.

you could either move it out sideways or go down onto the white underside and find clear unobstruction.

To the outside will work so much better then it will have unobstructed view with less turbulent water passing it

If you don't want to go under,on the white step, then go out more to the right. Where the green is actually the transom. Mount it where the lifting strake is parallel to the ground. You may have to adjust your winch stand if the bunks stick out behind the boat. Where it is now is an air pocket when on plane.

If you don't want to drill more holes in the transom, they sell a plastic mounting block. You glue it to the boat, and drill holes in the plastic for your mounting screws. Search Bass Pro Shop website. You can even get your own plastic, maybe 3/4 inch thick, and use stainless steel screws that are a hair shorter than the plastic thickness.

It's what the Fishfinder (sonar) uses to send sound waves from the boat,to the bottom, and then receives them when they bounce back. Functions like a speaker and a microphone,at the same time.

Oh,ok. Then my transducer is on my fishing pole. I've got one of those throwable fish finders.

Then the thing you're throwing is the transducer. Correct.
