Places to Fish Next Week Near Washington, D.C.
Hello all. I am a grad student in Washington, D.C., and I have next week off for Spring Break. I want to branch out and fish some areas I wouldn't usually fish with all my time off.
Any advice for areas around D.C. where the bite has been solid lately / will possibly be solid next week? Would love to target striped bass, small mouths, or large mouths. Would also love to learn about piers / spots with access on the Chesapeake or tributary rivers. I'd say anywhere within 2-3 hour drive from D.C. is in play. Thank you!

My suggestion would be to get your noisiest lures out and target snakeheads around Potomac tributaries. Hell of a fight and a cool story to go with it. Just don't forget to use a wire leader.

Big Stripers should be coming up the Potomac river, right there in DC.
