So sorry Mike but I cannot share in your excitement and pleasure. I may be biased but I have not kept a largemouth for over 50 years. It really hurts to not be able to see those beautiful fish grow and propagate and live to be caught another day. Sorry Mike - wish you threw them back.

Welcome to the Forum, Big Bob, I haven't kept a trout in 50 years either. To each his own. So why do I fish them? For the pleasure of it. I enjoy the hook set, and watching them swim away. Sometimes they only go a few feet and then stop to rest a bit.

flyguy, My sentiments exactly!! I thoroughly enjoy the peace and tranquillity that fishing offers! Catching a good sized fish is a bonus and releasing him/her to live another day is nothing less than pure pleasure!! THANKS so much for your comments!
