My wife is dying of cancer, this helps me to understand why she asks to go for a ride once in a while. She only has a couple of weeks, if she makes it that long; her goal in what is left in her life is to make it to our 55th wedding anniversary on July 23rd.

God bless you both. Prayers are headed your way.
I worked in a nursing home for 10 years and Iβm so glad I did. The stories they would tell and how they lived. I just wish the young people would slow down and get there head up away from the phone long enough to see what others have given and gone through in their life.

my thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife
A lot of people dismiss older folks. I feel differently, older folks (it's getting harder for me to find OLDER folks anymore) can really be interesting. They were raised with values and manners that are sorely lacking in todays world. And because they've been around longer, they have more and better stories to tell. Some 50-plus years ago, I was privileged to meet a lady on the occasion of her 100th birthday. I enjoyed talking with her. At one point, I asked if she could remember when cars first came on the scene. She told me that she clearly remembered the first car that she or anyone else in her town had ever seen. "I made him take me for a ride in it!" she said. This gentle, quiet lady had been a feisty young one, once!

Clee my prayers are with you and your wife. I went through that back in 2009 and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Hang tough and trust the Lord.

Went through cancer with my wife, better outcome (so far) but I know the strain it can be. Prayers from me, as well. πππ

I will be praying for you both.
Take her out for a ride as often as she can enjoy it, even twice a day.
Take her wherever she would like to see to enjoy the little things that she likes.
It will give you both good memories and help you when she goes to God.
Please feel free to PM me for support.
