That's why I need a cabin too, I been caught in 2 bad storms that went from flat calm to over 70 mph wind in minutes. 1 time in Louisiana in the gulf and the other in Buzzards Bay. Called a micro burst, comma cloud, very nasty weather for 15 mins. The time in Buzzards was in my 20 foot inboard Harbor launch, like you see in the movies carrying Henry Fonda to the flagship.It had a tiny place in the bow maybe 4 feet long,and my buddy and me squeezed in it to get out of the sideways rain that was like driving a motorcycle at 80 .That's why I love my Starcraft Islanders! They have lots of room for standup fishing for 3-4 . Very lightweight ( tows easy),very cheap to run with the 4 cyl. chevy( same engine used in the little square postal trucks), V bottom/ high freeboard that sends bigger boats back,and a SMALL CABIN wife/ GF can squat in( no toilet is the primary reason most women don't like small boats). A woman cannot tell you anything about any fishing boat. But, they can remember the wall paper in every ladies room/ bathroom they have ever been in !
