Yes Mezcal. Tequila gots no worm. And that worm is from the agave plant. Generally speaking. The consumption of insect larvae is a pretty common occurrence in Mexico. They can have my portion, lessin I'm starvin.

Speaking of eating insects. Hereโ€™s what the government allows in our food. Enjoy.

Gentlemen: Regardless of whether fishing with real earthworms or plastic, before I took Jeremiah, my 8 year old Great Nephew out fishing, I took a pair of pliers and flattened all the hook barbs flat as a simple precaution.

If you are a serious fisherman, sooner or later, someone, meaning you are going to get hooked. It is a simple matter of time. Expect it, anticipate it, and be ready to deal with it. If you don't it is just worse! Flattening the barbs is one way of making the removal easier, rather than more painful process of either pushing the barbed hook through and then cutting it off before pulling it back out, or a trip to the emergency room.

I've done all! Jerked the hook out, pushed the hook on through and cut it off! and a visit to the emergency room. So, when you are buying hooks, give my advice some consideration. Just Sayin...RJS

Just like ridin one of them motor scooters. Not a question of if you're gonna get hurt, just a question of how bad.

Yep, my wife worked the ER at Sutter Roseville hospital for years. That's how they all refer to motor cyclists - organ donors.

I hear ya. Not a joke here either. What I said when I first brought it up is very true. Not a matter of if, just a matter of how bad. And I rode pretty hard from about 15 to 40.

I was in my late 30s when I bought a couple of Yamaha off road bikes. My son and I rode the canal banks in the Rio Grande Valley. Never got hurt, did bend a foot peg once in a jump! Lucky I guess! Just Sayin...RJS

My bad...it was over 40 years ago and it was miserable stuff, however, I am confident the worm had no effect on the taste.
