Welcome to the forum, I am not familiar with the set up of island beach state park In particular What the Jersey Shore has got lots of the fish moving up-and-down the coast Right now, If you see whales, Dolphins or diving birds you know there are some fish around. I am further North by Sandy Hook and have been picking away at some bluefish In the surf using Any kind of shiny law to reproduce the look of small bait fish. Although the boats have been catching plenty of fluke up by me I had not been successful yet from the beach but island state Beach Park may be producing fluke. When you get into the area stop at a local bait shop and ask a few questions about the best location for you and asked the park Rangers and fellow fishermen. Good luck
