Tranx 401 handle help

Hi anglers!

I have a question I recently purchased a Shimano Tranx 401, being the left hand crank model. Love the way it casts, the brake, most everything about it except the handle. I feel it's costing me fish on the retrieve.

It has the dual paddle and I prefer the larger knob handle. I found someone selling the OEM Shimano Tranx 300/400 power handle so I bought it. Can I simply swap them out or will I have a gearing issue?

Thanks for looking, tight Lines 🤙

Gills, as long as the hole in the handle fits snugly on the shaft of the reel, you should be ok. If it's loose on the shaft, don't use it,you'll ruin the shaft.

Thank you! I am going to put it on, see how it fits and go from there. I'll let you know 🤙
