Hello y'all. I'm cam and need to know where to catch crappie and bass around Portland Oregon
Other end of the state here, so I suggest you check with the tackle shops in the Metro area. FishField, Fisherman's Marine, Dick's, Sportsman's Warehouse plus the various Mom & Pop ones, all can give guidance, I would think.
I rarely hear of an Oregonian in search of your targets, bass & crappie, much less PONDS. Lakes, creeks, streams, rivers...yeah. Ponds & lazy, muddy rivers are what I grew up fishing in Kansas, and those two fish, plus channel cats, were my regular targets. They have not been in 36 years after moving here.... Salmon, trout and Steelhead are, along with the occasional coastal trip, which can garner a dozen different species that can easily grace my grill.
There are black crappie to be had, as well as the bass you seek, I just am not aware of a "Pond mentality" here in Oregon. Most landowners here are quite protective and most likely armed.... DO NOT FISH ANY POND OR SMALL LAKE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHOUT PERMISSION, PLEASE ! Don't want to be reading about the fisherman who got shot over a bass (a really big salmon...meh... it's happened before..lol!)
You might try to locate ponds using Google Earth, as an earlier thread proposed, but that certainly doesn't mean that there are crappie and bass in them. Out of the dozens and dozens of fisherpersons I have encountered in Oregon, I can name TWO who actually fish for bass... on purpose....lol. Good luck !

Welcome. Been here for 46 years, but not the most versed in bass fishing. In my experience, the Willamette River, the mouth of the Molalla River are best. There’s a7 ponds called St.Louis ponds down by Woodburn that are supposed to have those species. Also a few lakes up the gorge that should suffice. Tight lines and hit us back up with pictures 🤙🏼
