I’m trying to fish out by a beach near Edgewater MD, people around here say they catch mostly small Stripers and perch, any ideas for bait?

I use bunker/ menhaden and artificial lures. I live in middle river that is about 2o min south of you. Hopefully that will help , good luck and tight lines.

You might try fishing clams or maybe grass shrimp.

I do my best on white perch on 1/8 jig with small white twister tail jigged and or swimming. For stripers, the best I have done is with 1/2 or 1/4 crab fished on bottom ón a knocker rig. For this I use a bàit runner reel. You could also set the drag loose but they need to chew it and start to run before setting the hook. I use circle hooks.
