Best Fishing Day 👍

I’ve caught some big LM bass with my buddy, but yesterday was one of the best days!
I had two 10 year olds over for a fish off the shore. I had seen their sunfish pictures and they had seen my LM pics & they really wanted to catch a bass!
After 10 to 20 sunfish on real worms off the dock, we went to the wooded shoreline and they each caught a small bass (see picture) & were pumped.
After lunch, we went back to the dock for a little more fishing before they had to leave. But Brooke tired of worms & sunfish and to my surprise she pulled a jig out of her tackle box and tied it on. And on her 4th or 5th cast, she caught this 2.5lb beauty. When we fished finished fishing, she spotted my tackle pegboard in the garage & we had some great tackle talk for quite a while - she knows her stuff 👍
So then, I gave them each some more jigs & plastics to keep them fishing and they started plotting their next visit to Uncle Red’s house - but want to go on the boat next time.
What a great day 😃

Oh, Yeah - jealous as heck that you get to take kids fishing and catch Bass !! Then you feed them more baits so they can catch even more the next time. Then they can eave and go back to bug their Dad about fishing, and you get to take a nap and dream of a 10# LMB coming out of your lake on one of their tight lines.

Best of everything to you Red !!!

Heck yeah. Boat can get them into more fish and maybe you will teach them how to properly operate the boat. I would want to get back to Uncle Reds too.

Great job Red, watching little ones catch is always more rewarding, than catching yourself.

I never wanted to be bothered with kids while I'm trying to fish. (Don't have any grandchildren). You don't really get to fish but have to help them baiting & taking their fish off. Bah humbug

Not mine. The two 11 y olds each will have a line in the water before I get to the lake.

I take them fishing about once a week. You teach them and turn them lose.
