First day Bass fishing this year

I decided to give catfishng a break and check out one of the local farm ponds. I've had good luck fishing this 15 acre pond. The fish would not leave my worm alone. Using a 7" purple shad with only the hook for weight I caught over 20 bass. The largest was over 8 lbs.

After vacumn packing the fish I give most of them to either the American Legion or the Catholic Church. Both put on a fish fry later in the year.
