Welcome to the stage, maybe we can get you to share some of your Walleye techniques. Hard to find anyone who'll put much up about those toothy critters. Again welcome.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,, Ivey, catching walleyes is pretty simple. All you have to do is drop a nightcrawler or a minnow down to the bottom of the lake/river, or where ever, and drift around a little and they will pick it up and you will have to set the hook. Now, you may want to attach this crawler/minnow to a jig or a Tru-turn hook or a spinner, it up to you. Do not use any more weight than necessary to get to the bottom because they are light hitters as a rule. You must be able to feel the bite, then give them the heavy injection because they are hard-mouthed. If you are using a spinner you have to be going fast enough to make the blade spin. The hook set on a big walleye is the greatest feeling in the world. Some people like to troll for them but I don't. Some people like to use crankbaits for them, but I don't. But, the biggest walleye I have ever caught, 31", came off a crankbait. Walleyes love structure, if you do not have any structure down there don't waste your time. Tight lines, Ivey.
Welcome, teeba, I'm a neighbor in Iowa City. Most of my fishing is in my farm pond, and an annual trip to Minnesota with the family, unfortunately work gets in the way of doing much more fishing. My son in law lives in Peosta, fishes the Mississippi primarily for bass.
Word of caution, be sure to have your hip boots handy, sometimes the BS gets a little deep here on the stage 😉
