I have been deep sea fishing, charter service, several times at OBX, but never fished off the piers there. I am assuming with the right bait and tackle it would be good fishing. There are several o here who live in NC, so they may be able to help you more.

Good morning Howard fishing is good during the fall on either pier just make sure you have the right equipment and know the rules shrimp fresh as you can get and blood worms and cut bait the refs are huge and have a limit on them check N.C. rules they change often and it does not matter if you surf or pier fishing you can google the piers at OBX or call them to get info but don’t be surprised if they give you the wrong info just to get you here altogether it’s very good fishing and a very beautiful place be careful out there if you surf fish shark bite are on the rise again recently had on last weekend

tks but last 2 yrs got infightwith 2 stingrays and lost 2 good poles. around the 1st of sept.
