Are the pompano rigs with the slider you clip on sinkers okay for fishing off docks?

I buy pre rigged droppers for the ocean and have reeled on some large calicos, rockfish, bat rays, and leopard sharks without one failing.

They're just as effective but much more cost effective and customizable to make yourself. I say that but I'm too new to fishing to know what to customize in what situations :P I've had some fun practicing making my own during the winter here haha. Most importantly, as long as you're having a good time, you re doing it right!! Peace
