Zoey, being a step dad myself that is all i ever wanted from my wife's boys. I got 3 Fathers Day cards the other day and one son is autistic. For him to remember is awesome, for the other two i must have done something right in our 27 years together.

So when the time is right and Mom is ready, please accept the new man in her life he should just want to be a part of your life. Love will grow in time just give life a chance.

I will, it's just, I don't even know how to put this. Confusing emoticons, thoughts, loyalty, unconditional love just to name a few. But I will accept whoever Mom loves. But you are right, over time that will probably change. I'm sure you are a great father to them. I would be happy if he was half as nice and understanding as you and the others on FS :)

I speak for myself and many others as well. Thanks for the compliment. 99% of the time we are nice but far from being Angels. We all can't be like bb.

But 100% of the time we understand because in this group of fishers time has dealt out nearly every scenario imaginable to someone among us. Our words of encouragement aren't like the stretched truths from fishing stories, they come from the heart with experience as a mentor.

You and Beth are keepers and in time you will be passing on what us geezers' feed you to another generation. I actually saw your post telling someone to hit the quote reply. ( Nice ) I had someone say something nasty to me about that once. So you are learning while reading, our mission is not complete it goes on daily.

Thank you, I hope I didn't seem nasty about the quote reply. I found out about it reading what someone sent to another person. We like to read and sometimes join a conversation/topic. Beth and I realized FS was much more then about fishing early on.

It's also a social gathering kind of place, where you can get advice, new friends and learn. Not only about fishing but people. Their experiences, mistakes just to name a few. In our eyes, you all have been Angel's to us :)

You weren't nasty at all. You were as polite and informative as any other person that has made the request. The comment i had received, i replied to and never heard again. Most folks are appreciative to know how to work the site correctly and understand once they see their reply not being responded to or that it shows up much later in the thread.

The both of you please just keeping doing as you have been doing.
