Looking for some rod/reel pairing advice. What to pair with DC 8.5:1?

I am the excited owner of a new shimano curado dc 8.5:1. I picked this up at basspro during the trade in and got 40 bucks off the reel, so paid $210. Not a bad deal considering they will not go on sale for some time.

I love fishing plastics, specifically craws and trick worms for bass. It is just hands down my favorite way to fish, and works well for my main lake with my PB coming from this style of fishing. So I figure my best technique gets the best reel in my small array.

I would like to take that same mentality into the rod purchase, which I would like to stay under $250. Any suggestions for a specific rod Looking for specific brand, length, power, and action.

And on another angle I could put the the DC with my Lees speed stick 7ft Medium Power Fast action. It’s what I was using for plastics so I am familiar with the performance. In that sense I would be moving the Kast King speed demon 9.3:1 over to a jig rod...so any suggestions for a great jig rod under $150? Same specs requested as above.

Thanks for perusing new and trying to figure out one of the most important questions of our time together.

Dobyns fury or a Daiwa tatula get my nod for a jig rod at that price range. For a slight bit more you can get a diawa tatula elite which is a decent upgrade, and if you, or a family member is in the service you can have them order direct from Dobyns and get 30% off which would let you step up to a Sierra or champion series.

All of those I would recommend putting the kast King on for a jig rod mainly Bc I don’t recommend the DC for flipping and pitching, its full potential is wasted doing that. For 250 dollar rods we have a megabass levante, Dobyns champion, alx Enox, and shimano zodias under budget as well as a shimano expride just above budget but the exprides are absolutely stellar for their price.

If you have any questions about any of the rods, and which models in any of them I would recommend just let me know.

The more I fish with my Gary Loomis edge rod, the more I think it is my favorite rod. I have the first strike and inshore. Light, sensitive, great blank and components.
