Co-Angler Needed For Bass Fishing On Weekend Trips.


Role Description:

Co-angler needed for bass fishing on weekend trips. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of bass fishing techniques and proven knowledge of fish-holding waters at local lakes. Furthermore the Co-angler candidate should provide adequate funds for gas, food, beer, ice, wear/tear on boat/truck, lake entry fees, and additional funding as needed.


Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

Primary responsibilities include:

• Sharing GPS coordinates of favorite honey-holes.
• Identifying fishing patterns.
• Reducing time-wasted on bad spots.
• Defining bait patterns that are effective for catching large and Smallmouth Bass.
• Improving big-motor fuel efficiency as well as performing typical engine maintenance.
• Reducing trolling motor battery usage.
• Identifying and qualifying new bass catching techniques.
• Strong ability to weigh fish on both a digital or culling beam as needed.

Additional Co-angler responsibilities include:

• Developing new fishing techniques.
• Implementation of detailed boat cleaning before leaving the lake.
• Fuel & battery capacity planning, including charging and filling up gas tanks.
• Improving cost performance of beer selection as needed.
• Enabling best known methods for catching bass while boater utilizes effective methods.
• Participating in truck, trailer, and boat maintenance as needed.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

• BS degree from an accredited university in Bass Fishing or similar.
• Requires experience with and knowledge of:
. Bait-casting and spinning reels.
. Mercury Motors.
. Motorguide Trolling Motors.
.
Multiple Bank Chargers.

• Previous experience fishing from a Ranger boat.
• Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and repair them.
• Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with boater while taking orders without question.
• Solid understanding of bass fishing and use of a net is a must.
• Good foundational problem solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking intertwined.
• Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize being a Co-angler over all other thoughts/ideas.
• A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class bass fishing environment.
• Previous experience in on-the-boat cooking with a hibachi grill is strongly desired.
