I’m headed to Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas for the first time next weekend. I’ll be mainly bass fishing but on occasion taking my younger nephew crappie fishing as well. Looking for suggestions for both.

Welcome to the Forum, Sbaner. Sorry, I can't help you out. Not many members from AR. but maybe someone will help you. You will get more replies if you fill in your location on the profile page.
Live shad for bait, caught a 28lb. Striper last time I was there.
Beaver lake is known for large stripers. The lake holds a lot of bucketmouths as well as Hybrid (Wipers). Go deep into the pockets at first light with top water baits, work your way out banging shoreline. When top water slows up reach for the square bill and and keep throwing bait. Afternoons you will probably need the drop shot in 20 plus feet of water to turn bass. Crappie requires finding cover (structure) and turning on the school.
Deep Cranking points can also be very successful. Enjoy your trip.
