what is the best place in Washington to go for a reasonable chance to catch large crappie. I would like to spend five days chasing them on either side of the mountains and do not want to drive all the way to Boise Idaho. And I do not want to buy an out of state license and boat AIS sticker. I have boat and camper. I also hate the high winds I seem to hit on the Columbia. Thanks ahead of time for any response. P.S. I am not talking ice fishing.
Can't help ya bp. Not familiar with Washington.
No worries. I expect I will get a few replies. If not it is fun to explore.
You might try the Potholes over by Moses Lake. Used to be a resort called MarDon (spelling might not be right) that may give out information on what was biting and where.
I second Potholes reservoir. Moses Lake is nearby also. Both have good fishing. There's a State Park at Potholes. Decent Crappie. Call the MarDon fishing store for an update on what and where you can find the Crappie.

Now if you want some CRAPPY advice? I can probably help you out with some of that.
Potholes Res. West side up in flooded willows. Always a good place to start.
Fishing partners grandson just returned from Mardon Resort located in the Potholes last week with a lot of crappie. Crappie have to be at least 9 inches to keep.
