Going to the Big Island soon and I'm wondering if any of you have experience travelling with your tackle. I'm planning on bringing 2 or 3 rods in a Plano Airliner and a large Cabela's Pro-Series tackle bag. According to the airline's tariffs (rules) a tackle box & rod tube count as a single bag. Hoping to stuff a few pieces of clothing in the bag too. Can anyone think of any drawbacks to my plan?

None that I can think of. It's extra padding on the rod too for when the TSA throws the tube like a javelin.
