Eyecrosser Loc: Camdenton Mo. Lake of Ozarks.

I couldn’t buy a fish for the first hour.
I checked the lake information report and found out they were running full generation starting this morning.
So I moved out to the points and the party started. Catfish, largemouth spotted bass, and I even snagged a 5’ spoon bill.
Strike king 5XD and Rapala DT10 were the lure of choice.

I’ve been known to set the hook pretty hard.

Lots of bass fishermen catch catfish on bass baits. Not unusual at all. Very unusual to do it other way though.

Has never happened to me, I know it happens but in my experience ita normally a channel cat and not a flathead. Ive also seen people using chicken titties for catfish and catching bass on them.

You're right Dame I'm sure. I;ve never caught a flathead period, on anything. Only channel cats. But I've caught more than a couple on bass baits. I have never personally caught a bass while fishing for catfish. That's just my experience.+

I'm not sure we have many of em out here. Blue cats and channel cats down south around LA and San Diego, but I don't recall hearing about flatheads. And up north of there, I'm pretty sure it's almost all channel cats. We don't get those 100 pound monsters like they do down south. Anything 20 pounds or over up here is a trophy. Clear Lake has a reputation for big channel cats.
